On this page we will inform You which conditions You need to meet before we flash Your ECM.
These steps are essential, and please follow them.

  1. Before tuning, You should verify that there are no ELD (electronic logging device)/GPS/Qualcomm hooked to the truck's diagnostic port.
ELDs/GPS/Qualcomm/Lane guidance can interfere with flashing process, and those interferences could cause ECM damage (especially on Paccar MX13 ECMs).
Pretty much any additional device plugged into truck's original diagnostic port could cause issues & there for must be disconnected.

  2. Battery charger must be hooked up to truck's batteries & laptop has to be plugged in to a wall adapter.
Truck's battery voltage should be around 13V to 13.5V for successful flashing.
Voltage drop could damage the ECM.

  3. If there is ELD/GPS/QualComm/Lane guidance hooked up, You need to disconnect it, and hook up diagnostic adapter directly to original truck's diagnostic port.

On photo below You can see example of:
    • ELDs connector that You need to unplug (marked with arrow no1)
    • original truck's diagnostc port where we need to plug in the diagnostic adapter (marked with arrow no2)
